Verbos ships neural text-to-speech that runs on the device, and falls back to your phone’s own voice when it has to. When you want the best rendition, HD voices are synthesized on our servers and cached — so replaying costs nothing.

What does clause 7 commit me to?

Does Verbos work without an internet connection?
Some of it does — Verbos processes EPUB, TXT, Markdown and HTML on your device and caches the audio it has already generated. But your library and HD voices live on our servers, so Verbos is not an offline app.
Can it read a PDF?
Yes. PDFs are processed on our servers and opened in a dedicated reader.
Can I paste text instead of importing a file?
Yes. Pasted text becomes a document, with a title taken from its first line.
What does the paid plan actually add?
HD voices, a much bigger library and import allowance, no ads, and the ability to ask questions about what you’re reading.
Which languages does the interface support?
